Standard and Advanced Critical Outcomes Report Analysis (CORA) Certification Now Available Through a Self-Paced Course
People often can’t wait for CORA certification until a webinar or seminar is available, perhaps because a new job opportunity arises (and since mid-2010, several job specifications have required or preferred people who are CORA-certified), or a new project requires a higher degree of analytic scrutiny.
As a result, lifetime CORA certification is now available through a self-paced course instead of a webinar or in-person workshop. A newly prepared set of materials guides you through the curriculum at your own pace, to accommodate work and family. The materials consist of:
- Why Nobody Believes the Numbers, Chapters 1-4, 8
- A powerpoint version of the reading
- A sample issue-spotter test
Once you read the material and submit your answers to the sample test, you and I schedule a debrief to go over what you missed. If and when you feel sufficiently prepared after that debrief, you can take the regular or advanced CORA tests. The only time requirement is to complete the CORA test within two weeks of requesting it. The standard CORA test must be passed before the advanced CORA test can be taken.
You are encouraged to take the course (not the test, obviously) in conjunction with colleagues, because it helps to have a discussion partner(s) for the sample issue-spotters. In particular, the issue-spotter test is designed as much for a group as for an individual. The pricing structure encourages group enrollment. Enrollees must register together to qualify for the group discounts.
You can register by paying on Paypal below. This will trigger the release of the materials to you within 24 hours.
This is the official certification course for the Validation Institute. Passing it earns certification on that site.
